As most who know me know, I am a huge fan of the Barefoot Movement. Having turned to barefoot training and minimalist shoes in the past few years, nothing has ever felt better. I also have a good friend who’s knee got better after he STOPPED wearing the $600 Orthotics he bought long ago.
So I was not at all surprised when I saw this article about how Orthotics do little if any good at all. If the way most athletic shoes are made today weaken the muscles in our foundation and change our natural gait causing injuries, then it only makes sense that further modification may cause further problems.
