Going back to the roots of the automotive industry. Human Car Inc. has designed a car that is powered by the greatest machine ever designed. The human body. Using human muscle to power up an electric generator, these cars have been tested to go up to 30mph uphill. I love the fact that you can adjust the amount of muscle vs electric power you can use, but you still can’t use solely electric. Thus making it even harder for people to come up with excuses not to exercise.
Pretty sure there’s no model yet that can withstand the brutality of a good ol’ Canadian winter but at least the vision is there. There are already accessories that include an i-pod docking stereo and a removable, all weather, hard top.
My client Maxine goes through 3 rounds of war with herself here on the way to getting close to a 300 score on this workout. Next time she will plan it out a little more instead of burning herself out at the beginning. Right Max?!
What I would love to see as a continuation of this study is the stress factor correlation. Sitting in your car driving to work everyday is at some point going to result in encounters with bad drivers and/or ridiculous amounts of traffic. Sitting in your office chair sometimes relates to work piling up, stressful encounters with superiors, or if you’re an employer, stressful encounters with employees. All this stress has countless effects on blood pressure and the heart.
This leads to bad habits such as smoking, alcohol, or therapy sessions in order to deal with the seemingly insurmountable stress you’re living with. So maybe we should be looking at what’s going on while sitting instead of just the action itself, and realise that a bit of extra activity might help us take our minds off these stressful situations in a healthy way.
Happiness is key. If you’re not happy (and you know whether you are or not), it’s time to make a change.
What a way to start the week. I stumble upon this short article about Chewable Lipitor. This is Pfizer saying, “It’s ok world, we love your ignorance. It has made us billionaires. To reward you we’re going to make it even easier for you to be apathetic towards your child’s health and wellness.”
